In addition to her professional work, Kelly has held several elected and appointed roles, including serving on the boards of MOASH, AFT-MI, the LGBTQ+ Council of Downriver, and the Wyandotte Planning Commission. In 2021, they founded a network of local nonprofits that work together in service of mutual aid for residents. Kelly is the vice president of her local Jaycees chapter and serves as Mayor Pro Tempore of the City of Wyandotte, where she lives with her partner and their rabbit, August. When she is not creating solutions for clients or her community, Kelly can be found developing cookie recipes and exploring every corner of her home state.
